Rigging the system with superdelegates involves leveraging the influence of these unpledged party insiders to shape the outcome of a primary election in favor of a preferred candidate, rather than letting the decision rest solely with the voters. Superdelegates, typically party leaders and elected officials, are not bound by primary or caucus results and can support any candidate at the national convention. Biden’s refusal to step down led to intense backlash from within his own party. Every Democrat had supported Biden until his cognitive lapse during the live debate. But if you’re on X, you were already aware of Biden’s noticeable cognitive decline over the past two years. Democrats had hoped Biden could escape the 90-minute debate without displaying any signs of this decline. However, when Biden faltered, his decline became undeniable. Democrats could no longer conceal his condition, as the public witnessed it firsthand.

The Democrats were caught in their lie. And once they were caught in their lie, they couldn’t publicly support Biden anymore, as they knew he’d have no chance against a surging Trump.
